May 11, 2014 | Named Oregon's Librarian of the Year

What an honor! The Oregon Library Association has named me its 2014 Librarian of the Year.

At the time I was serving as Youth Services Manager for Deschutes Public Library, where our team built programs I remain proud of to this day — Library Linx, which put library materials into 25 Central Oregon schools, and the weekly Toddler Times that filled our branches with wiggles, rhymes, and stories. I also had the joy of serving as a Master Trainer for Every Child Ready to Read, and of sitting on the Newbery Medal and ALA Wilder Award committees.
